Today we went back to Malacca to visit Ah Ma.

This is Puss. He's a big cat. He lives in Ah Ma's house and catches all the rats.

We all went out to celebrate Popo's birthday last Saturday.

Perth, Australia.

This was my first trip overseas. First time taking a plane, bus and train all.
It was the first time, I've experienced winter. I like the cold weather.

Here are some photos taken over the whole 8 days we were there.

Mum and dad took me to Immigration Department to get my passport. I was told that they want to take me to Perth for holidays. The officer who processed my application was very happy with me when I called her "kakak". Met a baby girl with her grandmother and she thought I looked a bit boyish. Do I? I was not wearing my hair band.

Had the first taste of potato chips at Chillies with mum and dad during lunch. It sure tastes good as I wanted more but mum did not agree. She said it is not good for me to have to many of those chips.

After a couple of weeks of falling down and ecouragement from my parents and sister, I can finally say I am able to walk steadily. Yesterday, auntie Sally walked with me to Crystal's house which is down the road. Last night instead of being carried for the usual after dinner walk with my parents, I walked all the way.

Safari Party

Mum brought me to her friend's party with a safari theme. And she made me wear a head band with some kind of animal ears. My sister painted me with mum's eyeliner. I was a big hit with all the mom and pops there. Everyone thought I was cute!!

Chinese New Year this year was well spent.
There were lots of people around.
Lots of food and not forgetting angpows.

This is taken at the hotel we lived in, which was really near Ah Ma's house.

Since I haven't learn to walk yet. This was the next best thing. Ah Ma's walker.

On the way home from Malacca, we dropped by KGNS for lunch.

Then the reunion dinner with everyone on mummy's side of the family.

This was at my grand aunty's house, which is Popo's younger sister.

Half way through Chinese New Year, I celebrated my first birthday. That's on the 2nd of February, if you forgot.

My whole extended family came over to our house today.

They called it, a potluck.

Everyone brought food but I couldn't have any of it.

Mummy made blueberry cheese cake. I got to taste the blueberries.

Today I met relatives, I haven't met before.

I'm not a fan of crowds. Wait, I mean not a fan of the crowds of people carrying me.

Though some people are exceptions.

And the best part about being the baby in the family is, I get presents even when it's not my birthday.

Jie jie hasn't been able to help me type because she says the computer is broken.

So what have I been up to since I last updated.

Well my lower two teeth are coming out. So is the one on the top.

I've been grinning to look like like I have squinty eyes.

Andddd... I started eating porridge. At first it tasted really urgggh. Made me gag.

I'll bug jie jie to upload the photos once the computer man comes to fix the computer thingy.

I got left behind at home today. Mummy and my jie jie went out for dinner with Auntie Susie and family because from what jie jie told me they are going back to the United States on Friday. Mummy said maybe we can go visit them next year when I'm older.

Anyway, I was thinking um, maybe not entirely on my own, to do a little chronological post. From day one until now. Just to introduce myself a little bit to the rest of the world.

For starters, this is my favourite time of day, which actually happens twice.

Hello, I'm Sydnie and I'll be turning 7 months old in a couple of days.
(The 2nd of September to be exact)

So since my mummy has been coaxing my daddy to write down memorable details in my life, why not just start a blog? The paper and pen was so my sister's generation. She's 18 by the way.

Well we'll just put down today as a first. The day that Sydnie got her blog.
